Shelly (Pierce) Barnette

Funeral services for Shelly Pierce Barnette, 62, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at Christ Gospel Church, 2614 E. Tenth Street in Jeffersonville, with burial to follow in Walnut Ridge Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Friday from 1-8 PM at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Pkwy and from 9:30-11 AM on Saturday at the church.  She passed away on Monday, January 13, 2020 in Louisville.       

Shelly was born on July 4, 1957 in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Francis and Mary Pierce.  She was a longtime and faithful member of Christ Gospel Church and a homemaker.  Shelly was an excellent cook and baker who also enjoyed her crafts.   

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Sharon Pierce White. 

She is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Jeffrey Barnette; two sons, Peter Barnette (Lesly); Christopher Barnette; four siblings, Sheila Payne (John); Francis Pierce Jr. “Pete” (Kitty); Sandy Trowell (Donald); Suzanne Mowry (Dan); and a grandson, Nathan Barnette.
