Sonja L. Mundy

Sonja L. Mundy, 84, of Jeffersonville, IN, passed away on May 26, 2023. 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville, IN, with burial to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 PM on Tuesday and after 10 AM on Wednesday at the funeral home. 

She was born on December 28, 1938 in Jeffersonville, IN, to the late Clayton and Frances Kopp, and Sonja and Dale owned M&K Aviation in Jeffersonville.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Leon Dale Mundy; and brothers, Tommy Kopp, Larry Kopp, Clayton “Merle” Kopp, and Richard Kopp.

She is survived by her two daughters, Marilee Burnside (Mark) and Tammy Mundy-Lewis (Dennis); sister, Susan Sigler; sisters-in-law, Helga Kopp, Rosemary Kopp and Colleen Kopp; four grandchildren, Katie Unruh (Kyle Cannon), Jonathan Oberschmidt, Jason Oberschmidt (Monica), and Gatlin Burnside; four great-grandchildren, Lilly Unruh, Evan Cannon, Kiah Oberschmidt, and Ember Oberschmidt; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial contributions can be made to St. Croix Hospice.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
