Born on October 8, 1965, in Farwell, Michigan, Steven was the beloved son of the late Robert and Janet Murdoch. His life was a tapestry woven with love, dedication, and service to both his country and community.
Steven's journey took him through the halls of New Washington High School, where he graduated in 1984. His pursuit of knowledge led him to Indiana University SE, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1990. The call of duty beckoned, and from 1991 to 1994, Steven proudly served in the US Army as an Aviation Systems Repairer, stationed in Korea. His commitment and excellence earned him various training and awards, setting the stage for his subsequent career at AT&T.
For 26 years, Steven contributed his skills and dedication to AT&T in Louisville, Kentucky, where he served as a technician. His work ethic was unwavering, and he became an integral part of the AT&T family, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of working alongside him.
A devout member of New Progressive Baptist Church, Steven's faith was a cornerstone of his life. He found joy in sharing his love for God with others and was an active participant in the church community.
Family was paramount to Steven, and his love knew no bounds. He leaves behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and laughter. Steven was a beacon of joy, known for his caring nature and the love he showered upon his family. His passion for baking, especially crafting delicious cookies, was a testament to the sweetness that he brought to every aspect of his life.
Sports held a special place in Steven's heart, and his allegiance to the Detroit Lions, Detroit Red Wings, and the Michigan Wolverines was unwavering. His enthusiasm for the game was infectious, creating lasting memories for those fortunate enough to share in his love for sports.

He is also remembered fondly by his brothers: Dave, Larry (Luana), Bruce (Karen), Mike (Gwyn), Tim (Elisa), and John (Jennifer) Murdoch. Steven leaves behind a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who were touched by his love and kindness.
