Steven Michael Gray passed away Monday, November 11, 2024 in Jeffersonville, IN. He was born in Jeffersonville on September 23, 1952 to the late Marvin and Patricia Denney Gray.
Steven was the cofounder and proud owner of Gray and Wells Body Shop in Jeffersonville, IN for over 50 years. He valued hard work and honesty and was dedicated to the Southern Indiana community.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Gray, to whom he was a devoted and loving husband of 42 years; his son, Eric Gray (Dolly); his daughters, Kasey Gibson and Sarah Black (Jared); and his grandchildren, Brooke McDonald (Jared), Ally, Steven, and Thomas Gray, and Grayson Black. He is also survived by his sister, Becky Badalaty.
Steven enjoyed good company and good conversations with his children, grandchildren, friends and family. Those conversations were always engaging due to Steven’s exceptionally dry and witty sense of humor. He was genuine, caring and loyal to all those he loved.
Steven was creative and enjoyed the artistic hobbies of gardening, woodworking, and creating stained glass pieces of art. He also loved to golf, fish and vacation on the beach with his friends and family. Throughout his life, he was an animal lover and shared a special bond with his cherished dogs, Patch and Casper.
Steven will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Please join us in celebrating his life, Thursday, November 14, 2024. His visitation will be from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville, IN, with his funeral beginning at 2:00 in the chapel of the funeral home. Burial will follow in Walnut Ridge Cemetery.
