She is preceded in death by her husband of 76 years, Rhea Linne, their son, James A. Linne, Parents Virgil and Grace Smith, and siblings, V.L. Smith, Frank Smith, Billy Smith, Alberta Kaufman, and JoAnn Fawbush.
Sue’s survived by daughters Jan R. Linne, Susan Westerfield-Kramer (Harold), grandsons Brandon J. Westerfield (Brittany) Matthew D. Westerfield (Lauren), and two great granddaughters, Brinley and Hazel Westerfield.
Sue was a lovely and elegant lady who was a proud dresser and a delight to sit and talk with. She was quick witted with a great sense of humor. Sue was a devoted wife to Rhea and took very good care of him over their extraordinary 76 years together.
She naturally put everyone first, making sure her family was well taken care of.
At times Sue would make an appearance at rehearsals of the band, “Pawnshop Guitar” and entertain the band with her spunky, upbeat, hilarious, personality.
Sue Linne was a devoted Christian and a member of the Hamburg Pike Church of Christ, as well as a member of the “Apet Shrine Guild”.
Susan and Sue were more than just Mother and Daughter. They were an inseparable pair and best friends. Susan visited daily and called at least once a day to chitchat about daily things in life.
If Sue would ask what she wanted to be remembered for, I think it would simply be that she enjoyed life to its fullest, was a good family person, and gave her impeccable memory skills to Susan.
The family would like to thank the compassionate staff at Clark Memorial Health Emergency Department.
