Susan Alane Clark, 76, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away peacefully at her home on October 23, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on July 12, 1949, in Carrollton, Ohio, Susan lived a life filled with compassion, faith, and love.
A proud lifelong member of Eastside Christian Church, Susan’s life was guided by her deep faith and her unwavering commitment to serving others. She began her nursing career as a Registered Nurse in the NICU, where her gentle hands and caring heart comforted countless newborns and families. After many years of dedication, she retired from Floyd Memorial Hospital as a Post-Op Nurse—leaving behind a legacy of kindness, empathy, and excellence in patient care.
Susan’s joy was found in life’s simple pleasures—cooking for those she loved, losing herself in a good book or puzzle, and sharing laughter with family. She was always happiest when surrounded by her husband, children, grandchildren, and friends. A talented shopper and a generous soul, Susan had a gift for making every person feel special and every home-cooked meal feel like an occasion.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 53 years, Lynn Clark; their beloved children, Lisa Wiseman, Ben Clark, Lindsay Anderson (Kip), and Lori Clark; her cherished siblings, Judy Dietz (John), Diana Slider (Bryan), Steve Fox, Ron Fox, and Jeff Fox (Becky); and her treasured grandchildren, Jacob Roberts, Abby Clark, Zack Clark, Riley Anderson, Nicholas Anderson, Emma Clark, Caidan Clark, Marley Clark, and Katelyn Anderson. She was also blessed with two great-grandchildren, Trace and Aubree Roberts, who brought endless joy to her heart. Susan will also be lovingly remembered by her lifelong best friend, Chris Book.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Hosparus for their exceptional care, compassion, and support during Susan’s final days.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Eastside Christian Church, 2319 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville, Indiana, 47130. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 12:00 p.m., where family and friends will gather to honor Susan’s beautiful life and the love she shared so freely.
Though Susan’s gentle presence will be deeply missed, her warmth, kindness, and faith will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her.
"Well done, good and faithful servant." — Matthew 25:23
