Susan W. Howerton

Susan Howerton, 69, passed away on Thursday, January 13, 2022 in New Albany, Indiana. She was born in Phoenix, Arizona on December 8, 1952 to the late John and Evelyn Burns. Susan was the sweetest, kindest person and never raised her voice to anyone. She loved spending time with her family and was the pinnacle of what a mother should be. She was very talented and was a true “Suzie Home Maker”.  She loved baking and made elaborate wedding cakes and homemade candy she gave to everyone on Easter and around the holidays. Susan will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, Susan is preceded in death by her husband, Morgan Ray Howerton; and a brother, John Burns.

Left to cherish her memory, Susan leaves behind a son, Dale Williamson; a daughter, Lisa Howerton; 2 step children, Chris Howerton and Wayne Howerton; 2 siblings, Donna Davis (Jack) and Debbie Moran; granddaughter, Codi Howerton; grandson, Patrick Williamson; great granddaughter, Gwyndolyn Howerton; niece, Shauna Burns; great niece, Evelyn Stagner; and a host of extended family and friends.
