Susan Smith, lovingly known as Susie, was a woman whose warmth filled every room she entered. She was a devoted mother to her two sons and a proud Nonna to her four cherished grandchildren, roles that brought her the greatest joy and purpose in life. Her love for her family was steady, fierce, and endlessly generous.
Susie found happiness in life’s simple pleasures—long summer days spent by the pool with a good book, the smell of something grilling nearby, and laughter carried on warm air. She had the gift of gab and truly never met a stranger. Whether in passing conversation or lifelong friendship, Susie had a way of making people feel seen, welcomed, and at home.
Dedicated and hardworking, Susie was deeply committed to her work and was always the first to lend a hand to anyone in need. Her kindness was instinctive, her generosity effortless, and her heart wide open.
She is survived by her beloved sons, Cody (Brooke) and Brandon (Kelsey); her adored grandchildren, Merritt, Carrigan, Stetson, and Skylar; and her brothers, Donnie (Debbie) and Matthew.
Susie is now reunited with those she loved dearly who went before her—her loving husband, Carey; her daughter, Ashlee; her parents, Don Collini, Sr. and Marcelle Collini; and her sister, Janet. Though deeply missed, Susie’s legacy lives on in the laughter of her grandchildren, the strength of her sons, and the countless lives she touched with her kindness, conversation, and love.
Cremation was chosen and no services are currently planned.
