Susan "Susie" Marie (Read) Reid

Susan “Susie” Reid (Read), 65 of Jeffersonville, Indiana passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2022 at her home.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Pkwy in Jeffersonville, with burial to follow in Walnut Ridge Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 from 2-8 PM and on Thursday prior to the service from 12-1 PM at the funeral home.

Susie was born on August 13, 1956 to the late Robert and Mary Jane Read (Naville). She graduated from Jeffersonville High School and was a homemaker.  Susie was immensely proud of her family and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories.  She enjoyed being a mother and excelled at the task.  She was quick witted and always ready with a joke or sarcasm.  Susie was happiest when she was surrounded by her family laughing, talking, and grilling.  Her pride and joy was her little family and she will be forever missed. 

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Randy Read.

Susie married her high school sweetheart, Richard “Tony” Reid in 1974. They enjoyed 48 years of love and marriage.  Susie and Tony had two sons, Samuel Reid (Alison) and Tommy Reid (Megan) along with three grandsons, Charlie, Bennett and Theodore.  Susie is survived by three brothers, Robert Read (Martha), Mike Read, and Greg Read (Karen).
