Funeral services for Thomas “Tom” Edward Trich Jr., 67, of Jeffersonville, will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, August 29, 2020 at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Pkwy in Jeffersonville, with burial to follow in Walnut Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 12-8 PM and on Saturday from 9 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home. He passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at Clark Memorial Hospital.
Tom was born on September 8, 1952 in Jeffersonville, Indiana. He graduated from Jeffersonville High School and Indiana University Southeast where he was in the TKE fraternity. Tom proudly served our country in the United States Army and worked for the FBI as an intelligence analyst until retirement. He was one of the founding members that begun the JYFL (Jeff Youth Football League) in Clark County which has given countless children the opportunity to play over the years. Tom enjoyed playing cards, watching horse racing, fishing and especially University of Louisville sports. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Edward Trich Sr.; his son, Aaron Trich; and a nephew, Brian Hoffman.
He is survived by his wife, Mindy Anderson; a son, Kenny Trich (Jenny); his mother, Peggy Trich; a sister, Janice Hoffman (Ken); eight grandchildren, Tyler Trich (Emily), Austin Trich (Billie), Samantha, Noah (Allie), Justin, Zach, Hunter, Kelby; and a niece, Jenny Butler (Billy).
Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Tom to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or J.B. Ogle Animal Shelter. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
