Todd William Owen

Todd William Owen, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed from this world at his home in the early afternoon of April 30th at the age of 54. Born to Cecil “Buck” and Bertha (Wheeler) Owen, Todd was a gentle spirit and a man of kindness, and had immeasurable love for his family who surrounded him in his final days. 

In life Todd had a soft spot for animals, never passing an opportunity to stop and help a turtle across the road. He enjoyed nature, as long as there was A/C, and found comfort in spending time at the lake with his family and friends. He most enjoyed taking in the peace of nature from his covered deck, and spending time with family and friends for game nights, especially when it involved frustrating his lifetime euchre partner, Cindy. 

Above all else, Todd will be remembered for the love he had for his family and his kindness shown to many. To Todd, his family extended far and wide. He was a husband, son, brother, cousin, and friend, but his favorite titles include being called Dad, “Uncle Todd” and “PawPaw Todd”. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Buck Owen; sister, Sheila Adams; and brother-in-law, Skip Rogers.

Survivors include the love of his life and wife of nearly 34 years, Cindy Owen; sons, Matt Owen (Kelly) and Nicholas Owen; grandchildren, Luke and Ali; mother, Bertha Owen; siblings, Cheryl Rogers and Lyle Owen (Mary); and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation will be held 4-8 p.m. Friday, May 3, 2024, at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway – Jeffersonville. Funeral services in honor of his life will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday, May 4, 2024, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that expressions of sympathy be made in the form of a donation to the Jeffersonville Animal Shelter.
