Treska (Robinson) Paxton

Funeral services for Treska Paxton, 71, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Christ Gospel Church, 2614 E. 10th Street in Jeffersonville. She passed away on Monday, July 5, 2021 at Norton Hospital in Louisville.  Visitation will be held on Friday from 5-8 PM at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Pkwy in Jeffersonville, and on Saturday prior to the service from 10-11 AM at the church.  A graveside service will take place at 1 PM on Monday, July 12, 2021 at the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Madison, Indiana.   

Treska was born on March 12, 1950 in Alcoa, TN, to the late Walter and Mamie Robinson.  She previously worked as a school teacher and she had a deep love for children.  Treska was most recently a homemaker and a member of Christ Gospel Church for over forty-one years and she was very active with the youth programs.  She also enjoyed singing to her husband. 

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Priscilla Robinson.

Treska is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, James Paxton; a daughter, Tirzah Shobe (Thomas); three grandchildren, Treveon Brown, LaJoy Williams, Ligia Williams; two brothers, Ponce Robinson, Lester Robinson; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
