Vicki Lee Appleby, entered Eternal Life Sunday, February 18, 2024, at her home, surrounded by her beloved family. She was born to the late Gerald and Sharon Woodruff in Evansville, Indiana.

Vicki was a cherished pillar of the Clarksville community. She became the first female elected to Clarksville's Town Council, a position she held with dedication and integrity. Vicki's passion for public service and commitment to her community were evident throughout her tenure, leaving an indelible mark on the town she loved.

In addition to her political achievements, Vicki devoted eight years of her life to the Clarksville Community School Corporation, where she played an instrumental role in shaping the educational landscape of the area. Her unwavering dedication to the betterment of the community's schools touched the lives of countless students and families.

However, beyond her public accomplishments, Vicki's most cherished role was that of a loving and devoted Grandma. She found immeasurable joy in spending time with her children and grandchildren, creating lasting memories that will be treasured for generations to come. Whether it was through storytelling, baking, taxiing her grandbabies, or simply sharing laughter, Vicki's warmth and love enriched the lives of all who knew her.

Vicki Lee Appleby will be remembered not only for her pioneering spirit and commitment to public service but also for the love and compassion she showered upon her family. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and community involvement that will be celebrated and remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Steven Appleby; children, Lauren Barry (Jim), Zak Appleby (Jessica), and Meagan Spatig (Matthew); grandchildren, Brandon, Kyle, Jaxon, Elliott, Miles, and Campbell; sister, Cathy Antz (David); step-father, Robert Brumett; and step-sisters, Roberta McGill (Rick) and Debbie Pugh (Steve).

A memorial visitation to honor Vicki's life will be held 2-8 p.m. Friday, February 23, 2024, at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway.
