Virginia Lee Bossung

Virginia Lee Bossung, 91, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away peacefully at her home on November 30, 2024. She was born on January 3, 1933, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Nelson and Mary Hatzell.

Virginia was the owner and operator of a home health care service for over forty years, during which she touched countless lives with her compassionate and dedicated caregiving. Her love and care for others were evident in every aspect of her work and personal life.

A devoted member of Farmdale Baptist Church in Louisville, Kentucky, Virginia found joy in her faith and community. She was an avid reader, known for her "green thumb" that brought life and beauty to her plants, and she relished the simple pleasure of shopping.

In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, John “Jack” Bossung. She is survived by her loving children; Bobby Kircher(Sheila), Steve Kircher, Sharon Tolle, Susan Hall(Mike), David Kircher, Joyce Moscoe; along with 9 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

A celebration of Virginia’s life will be held at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130 on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 from 2-6pm. Her Service will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at 12pm with more visitation before from 10-12pm.

Burial will follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville, Indiana
