Walter Henry Perkins

Walter H. Perkins, 85, of Jeffersonville, IN, passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Scott Funeral Home has been entrusted with his care, and a Celebration of Life will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 29 at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville, IN with entombment in Walnut Ridge Cemetery, 2421 Hamburg Pike.  The memorial service can be viewed remotely by going to Scott Funeral Home's Facebook page. Walt was born on March 6, 1934 to the late Kenneth and Mildred Perkins. Following high school graduation in 1952, Walt enlisted in the US Air Force. He came home in 1956 and began school at the University of Kentucky where he obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Commerce. Walt was an involved student, dedicated alumni, and lifelong fan of UK Men’s Basketball.

He was also interested in World War II, and was an avid photographer and enjoyed traveling and grilling in his free time. Walt also had several accomplishments and received many awards during his time at Arvin Automotive. 

Along with his parents, Walt is preceded in death by his first wife, Eve Perkins; and his recent wife, Judy Perkins.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Amy Sage (Kerry) and Cindy Perkins; stepchildren, Larry Kass (Vickie), Lorie Gordon, and Jeff Kass (Chris); grandchildren, Eliana Wakefield, Annalise Wakefield, Dylan Keranen, Lillian Keranen, Kyle Kass, Kimberly Wheeler, Nichole Martinez, Jillian Zimmerman, Danielle Malone, Kathryn Bruce, Taylor Gordon, Brian Kass and Brittany Michael; sister, Doris Mildred Carney; and a host of extended family members and friends.
