Ward Pyle Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ward Joseph Pyle, age 55, who departed this life on Thursday, August 15, 2024. Ward was a kind and loving soul, a man whose warmth and generosity touched all who knew him. He was a devoted husband to the love of his life, Cyndy Pyle, with whom he shared over 33 beautiful years of marriage. Their love was a beacon of light, radiating joy and togetherness for all who had the privilege of witnessing their bond.

Affectionately known as “Bop” to his beloved grandchildren, Ward embraced his role as a grandfather with endless devotion, pouring out love and joy upon each of them. His family was his greatest pride, and the deep connection he shared with them will forever remain his legacy.

Ward had a passion for life’s simple pleasures. He found peace and inspiration in nature, spending quiet moments fishing and enjoying the beauty of the outdoors. Music was the soundtrack of his life—his guitar and dulcimer strings often filled the air with melodies that reflected the depth of his soul. A gifted author and composer, Ward’s creativity was boundless, and he left behind a body of work that continues to inspire those who are blessed to know it.

Ward’s legacy of love, music, and kindness will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate to call him family and friend. His passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his spirit will continue to shine through the stories, music, and memories he created.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bruce Thomas Pyle and brother, Grant Pyle.

Survivors include his devoted wife, Cyndy; children, Nicholas Wolfe and Natalie Thacker; beloved grandchildren, Peyton, Eli, Ella, Calleigh, and Aurora “Rory”; brothers, Scott Pyle and Travis Pyle (Elaina); mother, Mary Elizabeth Pyle; niece, Elisa; nephews, Garrett and Colt; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members.
