Willie Hall Jr. was born on May 25, 1956, and peacefully departed this life on February 28, 2026. A man of strength, independence, and unmistakable spirit, Willie lived life on his own terms — boldly, proudly, and authentically.
A proud veteran of the United States Navy, Willie carried the values of service, discipline, and honor with him throughout his life. His time in the Navy helped shape the steadfast, dependable man so many came to know and love.
Willie found joy and purpose on the open road as an over-the-road truck driver. He loved the freedom of the highway, the steady hum of the engine, and the endless horizon before him. Driving wasn’t just a profession — it was part of who he was. The road suited his independent spirit and reflected his love of movement and adventure.
Beyond his work, Willie had a passion for karate, embracing its discipline, focus, and strength. He admired the dedication it required and the character it built. He also had a deep love for sports cars — their power, precision, and sleek beauty were a perfect match for his vibrant personality. Whether talking about engines or martial arts, Willie’s enthusiasm was genuine and unforgettable.
More than anything, Willie loved being himself. He was unapologetically authentic, confident in who he was, and unwavering in his beliefs. His presence was strong, his laughter memorable, and his stories lasting.
Willie was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Hall Sr. and Lula Mae Hall, as well as several siblings.
He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Yvette Hall; his beloved daughter, Lashawnda Hall; his step-daughter, Ebony Felton; his cherished step-granddaughter, Mya Lawrence-Harris; his mother-in-law, Annie Roper; his sister-in-law, Mildred Kelley; and several siblings. He was a pillar of love and strength for his family, and his legacy will live on through them.
In accordance with Willie’s wishes, cremation has been chosen and no services are planned. His family finds comfort in knowing that he lived fully, loved deeply, and remained true to himself until the very end.
Willie Hall Jr.’s earthly journey has ended, but the miles he traveled, the lessons he shared, and the love he gave will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. May he rest in eternal peace.
